Ciel glanced around him, narrowing his eyes further at the fog. "Troublesome," he thought, "... but interesting to say the least." his ears pricked up, and he closes his eyes. Relying on his other senses, he abandoned vision; his now already skilled hearing and sense of smell enhanced. He felt everything, the wind, the soil and rock beneath his feet... and he could feel her. He could feel her presence, and he smirked once it faded to blend in with the fog. "I may not be able to smell or sense you," he murmured, "but I can smell you, kid." his eyes flashed open, her scent flooding his senses, and like a big arrow, he could pinpoint her. During his time he spent surviving alone, he didn't work on improving his element, he worked on honing his senses, which gave him an advantage for others like this female, but gave him a slight disadvantage for the more experienced element users, though he could wield his with precision and after all, he was a Shadowed Night, and he wouldn't put shame to the title. He'd usually pick the weaklings to fight, seeing if they were willing or stupid enough, and most of them were, wanting to brag about how they took down a grown Shadowed Night. But they underestimated him, and they fell before his feet, only one weakling surviving. The very one who'd almost claimed his left eye, the one that carved the scar over his eyelid and left a mark in his memory. The weakling that should've fallen, but instead soared. His brother, who'd eventually died like the rest.
Breaking from his reverie, he growled and circled, slowly mustering up his elemental strength as he sniffed the air, turning and snarling, baring his teeth and snapping at the fog. Growing tired of the white abyss he was swallowed deep into, he called upon the heavens, and thunder sounded as rain slowly yet thoroughly started to dissipate the fog, Ciel changing the temperature and humidity of the air. "Done playing tricks?" he snarled, as tiny rain droplets dripped from his fur, he began to search for the female. It was mostly clear, but some fog still lingered, making it hard to see past about an estimate of 7.62 meters(25 feet) away from him.
